More detail
Shia Umrah and ziyarat
This itinerary is offered for Shia pilgrims, with ziyarat in Makkah and Madinah arranged around the acts of Umrah. Before booking, confirm which ziyarat sites are included, who guides them, and whether the programme is private or shared.
Why a 5+5 split changes the rhythm
Ten nights split evenly between Makkah and Madinah gives the trip a different shape from a short Umrah. You are not trying to “finish” in the first three days. The first five nights in Makkah let you settle, perform Umrah, return to the Haram repeatedly, and still have a proper ziyarat morning. The second five nights in Madinah let the group slow down around the mosque instead of arriving exhausted.
This is a premium lane, but the premium is in the pacing and the hotel band, not in a longer list of activities. If your group includes older pilgrims or anyone who finds a packed schedule difficult, the extra nights are the feature to pay for.
The ibadah rhythm
Use the first Makkah morning for Umrah and nothing else. The next day can be a short ziyarat route; the third and fourth days are for the Haram, rest, and repeat visits. Keep one day free of fixed plans. A ten-night trip should have room for an unplanned afternoon; that is often when the group remembers why it came.
In Madinah, do not treat the five nights as a countdown to the airport. Give the mosque two full days, Baqi one morning, and Quba/Uhud another. Leave the last day for packing and one final visit.
Makkah base: Elaf Ajyad
Elaf Ajyad sits in the Ajyad band, roughly 500–700 metres from the Haram. The route is walkable for most adults, but “near” is not the same as “at the gate.” Ask for the exact walking time at prayer time, not at midday when the streets are quieter. If the group includes someone with limited mobility, price a shuttle or taxi for the return journey before you book.
The hotel is a practical base rather than a front-row address. That is the trade-off that makes the longer stay affordable at this tier. Confirm the room type, breakfast, and whether the quote includes the city tax.
Madinah base: Emaar Royal
Emaar Royal is central, roughly 200–500 metres from the mosque area. This is the stronger of the two locations for walking, especially for Fajr and Isha. Confirm the exact entrance and whether the route is flat; a central hotel can still have a long internal walk.
Five nights in Madinah is enough to visit Baqi, Uhud and Quba without rushing, and to return to the mosque for several prayers. If your group wants a longer ziyarat programme, add a sixth night rather than compressing the sites into one day.
Ziyarat and rest
Shia ziyarat should be sequenced around prayer, not around a coach timetable. In Makkah, confirm which sites are included and whether the guide is private. In Madinah, Baqi, Uhud and Quba are the core; a private guide lets you stop for elderly pilgrims and keep the commentary focused.
Ask whether the programme includes women-specific arrangements if needed, and whether the guide speaks the group’s language. If ziyarat is shared, confirm the pickup point and the maximum group size; a large coach changes the pace.
Transfers and luggage
The package includes airport and intercity transfers as per the itinerary. Confirm whether the airport transfer is private, whether the driver meets you inside arrivals, and what happens if the flight is delayed. For the Makkah–Madinah leg, ask for the vehicle type and rest stop; five nights of luggage is more than a short-trip load.
If you are arriving from different cities, ask whether the transfer can be split between arrivals. A single group transfer may not fit two flight times.
Who this lane suits
This is a good fit for couples, adult siblings, and multi-generational groups who want a calmer pace and a better hotel band without paying for a front-row address. It is less suitable for travellers who only have five or six nights, or for a family that needs connecting rooms and cannot confirm them at this hotel.

- Private versus shared transfers and vehicle size.
- Ziyarat sites, guide language, and private/shared status.
- Room type, breakfast, and city tax.
- Cancellation terms for a ten-night stay.
- Whether the 5+5 split can be adjusted for your dates.
